Sweden’s best sites for solar parks

At Svenska Solparksprojekt, we specialize in identifying and planning the most suitable sites in electricity areas 3 and 4 in Sweden for solar parks. Our focus is on keeping production costs low and the permitting processes as short as possible.

Strategic sizes and fast processes

By focusing on parks in the range of 1-3 hectares, we can meet the costs of larger projects with lower risk. Most of our parks can be built within existing power grids and structures, resulting in shorter permitting processes and low-voltage delivery.

Our project portfolio

As of January 1, 2025, we have surveyed 10,532 potential sites and signed lease agreements for 225 sites, corresponding to approximately 200 MW. Our forecast is that by the end of 2026, we will have around 400 sites ready for construction, with a total capacity of approximately 340 MW. The majority of our projects consist of fallow land, whose ecological breathing space well matches the lifespan of a solar park.

With efficiency and accessibility in focus

We prioritize sites that do not require land preparation and have good electrical connections, eliminating the need for investments in new electrical infrastructure. Our goal is for electricity production to occur at a cost below SEK 0,30 EBIT per kWh based on 2022 cost levels. All parks that we transfer to construction meet this requirement.

Lower costs with modern technology

With the declining prices of solar panels in 2024, we have managed to further reduce production costs. Several of our projects produce electricity at a cost below SEK 0,25 EBIT per kWh. The extended lifespan of our panels with bifacial irradiation contributes to an LCOE as low as SEK 0,25 per kWh.

Current collaborations

In 2023, we entered into an agreement with Strövtåg AB for the delivery of 50 parks, primarily in Värmland. So far, 11 sites have been transferred and 6 parks are under construction. With a strengthened project portfolio, we are ready to offer new opportunities for solar park construction starting from the first quarter of 2025.
